ANNA THRONE-HOLST

About Anna Throne-Holst

On January 1st, 2010, Anna Throne-Holst was sworn in as the 78th supervisor of the Town of Southampton.  She is the third woman to hold this office.

Previously, Anna was a Southampton Town councilwoman and board liaison to several departments including Human Services, the Justice Court, Senior Services, and the Anti-bias Task Force.

A proud mother of three sons, Anna has lived in the East End community for more than 20 years.

Prior to being elected to the Southampton Town Board, Anna served as the executive director of the Bridgehampton Child Care and Recreational Center from 1999 – 2004, where she was responsible for all areas of administration including budget planning and oversight, program development, staff development, and fundraising.

Anna is also a co-founder of the Hayground School in Bridgehampton where she worked with a core group of educators to conceptualize, organize, and implement the creation and management of this innovative school.

A graduate of American University and Columbia University, Anna holds an undergraduate degree in business management and international affairs, as well as a master’s degree in public administration and international affairs. She is also fluent in four languages.
